High Side Bow with a Bun

Time:  15 minutes
Supplies:  brush/comb, 2 elastics, bobby pins, hairspray
Difficulty:  medium

This week has been so crazy!
In addition to everyday chaos, we've
been to the doctor, the dentist, a fall festival, take your parent to lunch day--twice.
But the fall festival was the topper.

Tons of games and booths for the whole family.  An old-fashioned log-sawing contest, bobbing for apples, target shooting, a cake walk, eating donuts from a string, cow roping
(no cows were injured in the process.  They were fake.), and a ghost pepper contest.

Ten crazy people lined up in the pepper contest
 for a chance at $20.
(Not such a great prize once you hear what they had to do.)
(Side note:  I ate a few jalepeno peppers for a contest once, and had a stomach for the next twelve hours.
And I only got $11.  So I knew not to enter this.)
They each had about an inch x inch chunk of ghost pepper (it's supposed to be the hottest of all peppers).  They had to chew it up and then hold in their mouth the longest to win.

Three minutes in, and half the people had quit.  Those remaining had tears and sweat soaking their faces.  Some were dry heaving, but holding it in.  The audience was yelling, cat calling, oohing and ahhing. It was unbelievable.

Until a splash ending coated the garbage can and the face of the contestant next to would-be winner.
So disgusting.
But the topper for excitement.

If you're looking for a topper in hair-do excitement, this is it.
No peppers, no puke, just ooh's & ahh's.

  1. Super cute. Thanks :0)

  2. That is so cute!!! How long of hair do you have to have for it to work?

    1. Just long enough to make a ponytail on top of your head with enough left over to make small ears for the bow. If your hair isn't as long as Bella's, just make smaller loops on your bow and it will still work.
