Chopstick Twist Hairstyle & Giveaway

Time:  5 minutes
Supplies:  brush/comb, elastic, bobby pins, 2 hairsticks/chopsticks (even pencils)
Difficulty:  easy

Giveaway Time!
If you love these beautiful hair sticks, they (or another pair like them) can be yours.  Keep reading for details.

I've got a lengthy bucket list.
You may have heard
me talk about it before:
Ride a pig
Go bungee jumping
Run a marathon
tons more
But the one that's been making me nuts, because it's been hard to get, and I broke my finger practicing it a month ago (you may see my fingers bandaged in some of the videos) is my dreaded
back handspring.
I want to try out for cheerleader this year, but the judges won't even consider me if I can't do one.  Luckily, my cousin is an awesome gymnast, and she helped me a ton on a trampoline.  And I did take tumbling lessons this last June and July.
But it hasn't been easy.
But I got it!
(And on the grass too, not just the trampoline.)

What about you?
Is there something you've been working on and finally achieved?
Or is there something you've crossed off your own bucket list?

Leave me a comment below telling me what you've done or what you're working on, and you'll be entered in our random drawing for these lovely hair sticks (or others of your choice) from Lilla Rose.  Their website sponsored a giveaway a few weeks ago with our beaded headband hairstyle, and will do one more giveaway soon.  I have had so much fun playing with their hair accessories and creating fun styles.  Check them out at Lilla Rose.  I'll announce the winner with Thursday's post.

  7. Love all the hairstyles. So super cute. That being said, is there any way you could do more self done hairstyles? I know my mom's not going away with me to college (LOL) and I'd like to still be able to figure these out on my own. Just a suggestion. Thanks and keep up the cuteness!

  12. One of my New Year's Resolutions was to get into better shape before school started again in the fall. I was actually able to reach the specific details of my goal with a exercise plan & changing my habits over the past few months. It was hard, but here I am in school again and feeling great. I'm so happy and and thrilled that I actually made it! :)

  13. I can't acutally believe I made this but I made the top swim meet in my age group. This swim meet is for year round swimmers, not the summer league. I trained so hard to make Zones, the swim meet, and finnally made it in my 200 back. Yet I didn't go because I broke my tibia bone and moved my growth plate out of place... But it's the accomplishment that counts!!
